FAQS

I'm under 18 and need my six hours of certified driving instruction. Can I take it all in one weekend or day?
The maximum length of a lesson for drivers under 18 is two hours. It is important that you have some practice time between lessons. That being said, it is also important that all three two-hour lessons be taken in a timely manner.

Are parents required to attend lessons?
No, it is not required, but it is strongly encouraged so that instruction can be reinforced in a consistent manner.
Where do I meet my instructor?
Depending upon your location, we will pick you up at home, work, school, or a designated meeting place.
Can I hold off on my third student lesson until I am ready to take my driving test?
No, each of the lessons is designed to teach a specific skill. It is essential to your success to get all the information prior to most of your practice. This helps create a stable foundation and minimizes the chances of picking up bad habits.
Can I take more than three lessons?
You may take as many as you feel necessary. We do encourage students to take a brush-up lesson a month to 45 days before taking their driving test.
I'm an adult and have never driven. How many lessons will I need?
Some adults can take a few lessons while others require a higher number of lessons. Your instructor will evaluate your needs and will compile an individualized program for you.
Can I rent your car to take the driving test?
We do not rent our cars. If you are an existing student, we can schedule a lesson around your drive test and you may take the test in our vehicle.
What form of payment do you accept?
We accept most credit cards, PayPal, checks, or cash.
What do I need to take a lesson?
A learner’s permit, a license, or an international license.
Since my student has his permit, can I take him driving immediately?
A learner’s permit is not valid until the first behind-the-wheel lesson, at which time the instructor validates it.
Do you offer driver's education prior to obtaining permit?
Yes, we offer an online course that you can work on at your own pace. Kids seem to really appreciate the structure and ease of use. It is designed as an interactive video game-style road trip.
Can we use our own personal vehicle for the lesson?
In most all cases the answer is “no.” As a safety precaution, we have our own dual-equipped vehicles. The exception is if you are already licensed, and then it is left up to the instructor’s discretion.
Do you offer manual transmission driving instruction?
At this time, we only have automatic vehicles. However if you are already licensed and own a manual transmission vehicle, it is up to the instructor’s discretion.
Do you offer written evaluations?
Yes. There is an additional charge of 27.00 for a written evaluation from the Instructor, which will be e-mailed within 48 hours.
Do you have any instructors that speak foreign languages?
No, but if there is a language barrier, you are welcome to bring someone along to translate.
Can I do only one hour of driving instruction?
We do a minimum of a two-hour lesson in one day. If you are over the age of 18, you are welcome to schedule more than two hours in one day.
If I live outside of your service area, can I still use your driving school?
Yes, if you are willing to meet our instructor somewhere that is within our area of service. We can be pretty flexible depending on how busy we are.
If we take a driving lesson, will it lower our insurance rates?
Every insurance company is different. Check with your insurance company to determine the specifics.
